Freedom is where Alice and Bob could convey thoughts and ideas freely to anyone they desire or anyone wanting to hear.

When those thoughts are conveyed by a single service provider, the provider has the power to censor those who they see fit on their terms. If Bob is unacceptable, then Bob is censored.

When there is choice of service providers, including our own server, provider imposed censorship disappears.

There is a difference from being allowed to express freely at your expense and imposing on others to provide you a platform.
